Statement
I look about for found objects and found rituals, ripe for subtle alteration.
I am interested in amplifying underlying social meanings, and designating as ritual sites those places which pass below the radar. As an artist I play with and unpick the everyday. As an activist I believe it can be changed.
Sometimes I work with lovers, sometimes with strangers. Sometimes I facilitate, holding space for a group. Sometimes I make secret actions that no one knows about.
Sometimes the outcome is a fleeting moment shared; sometimes it is a discrete object. Sometimes it is installed, sometimes glimpsed briefly, sometimes carried in the pocket. It is always site-specific – whether that site is geographical, temporal, social or physical.
