Statement
I am a multi-disciplinary artist but i specialise in performance based sculpture. I usually present my work in digital formats such as video or photography. My work is autobiographical and is largely based on the current state I find myself in at the time. Although the work is about myself I try to present it in such a way that can appeal to a mass audience.
Themes that occur regularly in my work are restriction, the internal and external and metamorphosis. I love to play with the conventions of art and constantly try to cross over between mediums. My work can range from the visceral to the absurd. My main aim is to be somewhere in the middle so as to create tension.
I think my main interst really is to explore the idea of life and art and in a way through my practice i guess im trying to make sense of it all. I want my work to be honest and so i strive to present it in the most minimal way possible so as to not let it get bogged down and distracted by other elements surrounding it. Rather then chatting hours on end about my work and its inspirations I would much rather let it speak for itself.
