NEW EVENT - Eating Secret at Starvation Point
opposite the Harbour Gates
Whitstable, Kent, CT5
21/22 & 28/29 June & 5th July
Starvation Point is a memorial for poverty-stricken sailors who would collect there to wait for work. Centuries later, I will be stationed at the Point to collect your secrets on eating. I will write each secret down. Each secret you give me will be sealed with a cake. Your identity will remain anonymous.
The secrets will create an end of Biennale Fringe performance at Starvation Point on 5th July. Tickets £5.

Spank has toured around south east London to Albany Theatre and Antenna Studios, and was selected for the Elevator Programme at NRLA 08 in the Tramway, Glasgow. It was presented at The Intimacy conference organised by Goldsmiths & Laban and re:Actor 2 at Leeds University in 2007 with the Guerrilla Girls. Spank was recently at OMSK - The Whipping House, London E1, 55 Leroy Street, London SE1 and at Betsey's Salon of Interdisciplinary Arts, 107a Culford Road, London, N1
BIOGRAPHY:
I have written for Attitude (Arts Editor), Creative Camera (New Media Editor), Contemporary, Women's Art Magazine and Wasafiri (in an essay that explores rebels in queer art) in London as well as Black Book (European Editor) in New York. My creative non-fiction has been published by Cornerhouse Publications and Tank; my fiction in the Issues and Brand Literary magazine, where I am a Contributing Editor.
I'm Senior Lecturer at the University of Greenwich, specialising in Performance Writing; and consulting with Knowledge East and Contemporary Art Projects on critical writing for visual artists.
