Statement
Compelled by everyday artifacts and organizing systems of private and public life my work is process driven, engaging with the spaces between the corporal, social, political, virtual and cultural body, challenging notions of identity and history; blurring the lines between fact and fiction.
Previously my work has broadly functioned in the categories of: solo live-performance, group collaborations and site-responsive work, installation, new media and critical writing. Of late I have been drawn to the relationship between collaboratively led creation and social justice.
I’m thoughtfully committed to my work being shaped and shaping those I encounter. I’m seeking moments of activation and new ways of seeing in my work with others. I believe this faithfulness engenders risk, collision and transformation that create encounters that are intensely imagined and playfully executed.
Currently based in London my working practices lay across the categories of experimental theatre, live art and performance research. I’m committed to a hybrid approach, sometimes forging out alone, with a partner or with a group.
