Statement
I am writer specialising in writing on and around Live Art and contemporary performance. I am also interested in arts facilitation, curation and networks. I recently co-founded the 'Critical Writing Collective' with co-director and writer Charlotte Morgan.
I graduated from York St John University with a first class BA Performance degree in 2006 and have since worked for various arts organisations and bodies in Yorkshire. I have experience working as part of a diverse range of arts organisations and on unique writing and performance projects. I am based in Leeds, and my current areas of interest include; how experimental arts feed in to mainstream cultural activities, new writing, critical writing and the relationship between writing and the live performance.
Most of my recent work can be found online at publication platforms (such as AN Interface) and my own blog, listed below.
