Description:
Are you an artist who works internationally, or are you interested to explore the possibilities of international artistic encounters?
INTERNATIONALE is a two-day social event that will creatively explore and generate critical thinking and political awareness around artistic international encounters. Using an Open Space approach to discussion, artists’ presentations and a creative performative laboratory, INTERNATIONALE aims to develop and contribute to the visibility of the transnational artistic network in the North West of England.
Supported and in partnership with New Work Network (NWN), INTERNATIONALE is a free event open to artists and arts professionals who are interested to explore these themes.
The event will take place on the 16th and 17th of May at the Bluecoat’s Performance Space (www.thebluecoat.org.uk) followed by a party at the Static Gallery on the Saturday night (www.static-ops.org). Participants need to book a place in advance and are expected to commit for the whole two days.
The event is free, tickets are available online at the Bluecoat
NWN is offering 6 members based outside of Liverpool travel bursaries (up to £30) to attend INTERNATIONALE. (see below)
INTERNATIONALE has been organised by NWN collaborator Lorena Rivero de Beer in response to NWN’s International Pool project developed by NWN Associate Clare Thornton
