Statement
(H)Appy Logies is a performance and live art duo composed of Italian artist Irene Pomatto and Franco-Portuguese artist Ines d'Almey.
(H)Appy Logies shape tense and intense atmospheres that form partly improvised, mainly non narrative performances. During these very visual, highly personal actions, the common, the every day, and the domestic is revealed and turned into an engaging, emotionally charged experience, or a disturbingly funny farce in which the personal and the political mingle and unravel raw, sublime humanity.
(H)Appy Logies work around the visceral in the every day, the violence and the human in the routine, the sublime in the domestic, the political in the personal.
Through performance, they explore profoundly human experiences of desire, obsessive behaviors, hysteria and love in the settings of the daily life and of the ordinary, and by highlighting these feelings in a humorous, disturbing, contemplative, or meditative way.
Since August 2006, (H)Appy Logies have toured across Europe presenting their live performances in Edinburgh, Berlin, Poznan, Trollathan, London, Bristol, Manchester and Paris in venues such as CUBE, Duckie,Beaconsfield Gallery, la Miroiterie or SHUNT VAULTS.
(H)appy Logies also performed for Carina Diepens at the Beaconsfield Gallery, Shabnam Shabazy in Toynbee Studios, and as smoking suffragette for Lucy Panesar. Also appeared in the last Bobby Baker's video and David Rosenberg's new project about voyeurism, and worked on HOME with director Yurena A de Dios.
